| An Elected Officials Forum of Comox Valley jurisdictions was conducted regarding local watersheds and the state of water supply, highlighting the challenges and opportunities. | ||||||
| In addition to the verbal remarks the following presentations were provided: | ||||||
| M. Rutten, General Manager of Engineering Services presented an overview of watersheds and their functions. | ||||||
| Z. Norcoss Nu, Engineering Analyst, presented a profile of Comox Lake; | ||||||
| K. La Rose, Senior Manager of Water/Wastewater Services, presented a profile of Langley Lake and Oyster River. | ||||||
| D. Monteith, Manager of Liquid Waste Planning, presented a profile of the Tsolum River. | ||||||
| K. La Rose, Senior Manager of Water/Wastewater Services, presented on the Comox Valley Regional District programs, activities and partnerships - Municipal Natural Assets Initiative, water conservation, watershed protection and advocacy. | ||||||
| T. Ennis, Comox Valley Land Trust, presented on the Comox Valley Conservation Partnership. | ||||||
| J. Pisani, Drinking Water & Watershed Protection Program Coordinator, Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN), presented an overview of the RDN's Drinking Water and Watershed Protection service. | ||||||
| K. Miller, Manager of Enviornmental Services, Cowichan Valley Regional District, presented an overview of Cowichan Valley Regional District Drinking Water and Watershed Protection service. | ||||||
| The meeting recessed at 3:02 pm and reconvened at 3:10 pm. | ||||||
