The purpose of this meeting is for committee members to consider the matters included on the agenda below. The chair of the committee will preside over the meeting according to the CVRD procedure bylaw. This meeting is not meant for general public input. If members of the public wish to speak at a meeting, they should contact the CVRD legislative services department to request to appear as a delegation.

In the event of an emergency the public gathering place is the parking lot outside the boardroom.

5) WOOD STOVE EXCHANGE PROGRAM - 2019 FUNDING APPLICATION
 
Report dated September 7, 2018 regarding a recommendation to the apply to the provincial wood stove exchange program for 2019 funding for receipt. [Item]

Recommendation:
 
THAT the Comox Valley Regional District approve the application process for funding to continue the wood-stove exchange program in the Comox Valley Regional District;

AND FURTHER THAT staff submit an application for up to $20,000.00 to the provincial wood stove exchange program;

AND FINALLY THAT the wood stove exchange program be continued in 2019, including additional incentives for cleaner heating sources, subject to funding being received from the provincial wood stove exchange program.
