SELECTION OF CHAIR AND RECORDING SECRETARY
Michael Obal was selected as Chair for the Area B (Lazo North) Advisory Planning Commission by acclamation.

Cari McIntyre was selected as Recording Secretary for the Area B (Lazo North) Advisory Planning Commission.
 
 
CALL TO ORDER AND RECOGNITION OF TRADITIONAL TERRITORIES
Chair Obal assumed the role of presiding member at 7:08 pm and acknowledged that the meeting was being held on the unceded traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation.

DEVELOPMENT VARIANCE PERMIT - 5918 ALDERGROVE DRIVE (VAN IERLAND)
 
 
Brian Chow, Rural Planner provided an overview of the memorandum dated April 9, 2019 regarding 3090-20/DV 3B 19 - Development Variance Permit - 5918 Aldergrove Drive (van Ierland). [Item
 
 
The applicant's agent, Neil van Ierland, was in attendance and spoke to the application.
 
 
I. McIntyre/C. McIntyre: THAT the Development Variance application, 3090-20/DV 3B 19, for 5918 Aldergrove Drive (van Ierland) be supported for the following reasons:
- The setbacks are minor as development along Seabird Road is unlikely; and
- The setback is unlikely to negatively impact neighbours or road access.
