CALL TO ORDER AND RECOGNITION OF TRADITIONAL TERRITORIES
Ton Trieu, Manager of Planning Services, called the meeting to order and acknowledged that the meeting was being held on the unceded traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation
 
 
SELECTION OF CHAIR AND RECORDING SECRETARY
G. McClintock was selected as Chair of the Agricultural Advisory Planning Commission by acclamation.

C. Brown was selected as Recording Secretary of the Agricultural Advisory Planning Commission by acclamation.
 
 
The commission recessed at 7:10 pm and resumed at 7:25 pm.

Chair McClintock assumed the role of presiding member at 7:25 pm.
 
 
REPORTS
NON-ADHERING RESIDENTIAL USE – 7884 STURGESS ROAD (ZIMMERMAN)
 
 
Jodi MacLean, Rural Planner, provided an overview of the memorandum dated April 10, 2019 regarding 3110-20/ALR 1C 19 - Non-Adhering Residential Use – 7884 Sturgess Road (Zimmerman). [Item
 
 
The applicants, Trevor and Denise Zimmerman were in attendance.
 
 
B. Thompson/G. McClintock: THAT the commission support forwarding the Non-Adhering Residential Use within the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR 1C 19) application for 7884 Sturgess Road to the Agricultural Land Commission with a recommendation to include a bond for the removal of the existing trailer prior to occupancy of the house for a suitable amount as determined by the Agricultural Land Commissions’ Bylaw Enforcement Department.

The commission considered the addendum prior to item D.2 (Comprehensive Zoning Bylaw Review) of the agenda.
 
 
ADDENDUM
AGRICULTURAL LAND RESERVE NON-FARM USE ALR 1A 19 - 3771 MINTO ROAD (PEARSON)
 
 
Jodi MacLean, Rural Planner, provided an overview of the memorandum dated April 16, 2019 regarding ALR 1A 19 - Agricultural Land Reserve Non-Farm Use Application to consider the placement of fill on property at 3771 Minto Road (Pearson). [Item
 
 
The applicant, Susan Pearson, was in attendance.
 
 
D. Page/J. Slomp: THAT the commission support forwarding the Agricultural Land Reserve Non-Farm Use Application (ALR 1A 19) for 3771 Minto Road to the Agricultural Land Commission (ALC) with a recommendation that the applicant continue to remediate the existing filled area (approximately .4 ha);

AND FURTHER THAT it be recommended that no more fill be brought onto the property and that any future fill applications be subject to the ALC's approval of a report by a professional hydrologist and a professional agrologist.
