| The Chair called the meeting to order and acknowledged that the meeting was being held on the unceded traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation. | ||||||

| The minutes of the Area C Advisory Planning Committee meeting held April 18, 2019 were not received, pending some amendments as requested. The amended minutes will be brought back to the next meeting for receipt. | ||||||

| PROPOSED ZONING BYLAW AMENDMENT RZ 3C 18 – FORBIDDEN PLATEAU ROAD (FRY / TAYLOR) | ||||||
| J, MacLean, Rural Planner, provided an overview of the memorandum regarind RZ 3C18 for Forbidden Plateau Road (Fry/Taylor). | ||||||
| Jim Fry, applicant, was in attendance at the meeting. | ||||||
| G. Gordon/M. Presley: THAT the Area C Advisory Planning Commission oppose Zoning Bylaw Amendment RZ 3C 18 to enable a subdivision to create parcels with a minimum lot area of 4 hectares at Forbidden Plateau Road (Fry/Taylor) for the following reasons:
• The application lacks some of the necessary detail in the Regional Growth Strategy; • concern regarding fire protection in the area; • concern regarding the watershed and amount of water available, with the current well offering only a small amount of water at this time; • concern regarding densification of the area with no services, and the example that would set for future applications.
