NOTICE OF MEETING
SEWAGE COMMISSION


Tuesday, June 11, 2019
Boardroom, located at 550 B Comox Road, Courtenay, BC commencing at 1:45 p.m.

The purpose of this meeting is for commission members to consider the matters included on the agenda below. The chair of the commission will preside over the meeting according to the CVRD procedure bylaw. This meeting is not meant for general public input. If members of the public wish to speak at a meeting, they should contact the CVRD legislative services department to request to appear as a delegation.

All commission motions will be voted on as determined under Bylaw No. 650.

In the event of an emergency the public gathering place is the parking lot outside the boardroom.

THAT staff be directed to investigate and assess options for setting an odour standard for the Comox Valley Water Pollution Control Center.

Correspondence dated May 22, 2019 from the Village of Cumberland requesting to enter into an agreement in principle with the Comox Valley Regional District to process their biosolids at the Comox Valley Sewerage Service Biosolids Composting Facility for receipt. [Item

Recommendation:
 
THAT the commission adjourn to an in-camera session pursuant to the following sub-section(s) of section 90 of the Community Charter:

90(1)(e) the acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if the commission considers that disclosure might reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the regional district;

AND FINALLY THAT the in-camera portion convene immediately following the open portion of the meeting.
