J. MacLean provided an overview of the memorandum dated October 25, 2019 regarding Development Permit DP 14A 19 to construct a new 186 square metre commercial building on a 0.4 hectare lot along the Island Highway, just east of the City of Courtenay. [Item] |

The owner's representative, Tonie Davis, Manager of Westisle Heating and Cooling, was in attendance. |

R. Kayfetz/B. Trussler: THAT the Area A Advisory Planning Commission support the Development Permit DP 14A 19 as proposed to construct a new 186 square metre commercial building on a 0.4 hectare lot located at 3771 Island Highway for the following reasons:
• There is a landscaping screen from the highway;
• Consideration for neighbours;
• The development is consistent with the zoning; and
• The colours are sympathetic |
