CALL TO ORDER AND RECOGNITION OF TRADITIONAL TERRITORIES
The Chair called the meeting to order and acknowledged that the meeting was being held on the unceded traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation.
 
 
ECTION OF CHAIR AND RECORDING SECRETARY:
Dave Pacholuk was selected as Chair for the Area C (Puntledge/Black Creek) Advisory Planning Commission by acclamation.

Mike Larock was selected as Recording Secretary for the Area C (Puntledge/Black Creek) Advisory Planning Commission.

REPORTS
PROPOSED ZONING BYLAW AMENDMENT RZ 1C 19 – 8659 ISLAND HIGHWAY (ZIMMERMAN)
 
 
T. Trieu, Manager of Planning Services, provided an overview of the memorandum dated December 12, 2019 regarding Zoning Bylaw Amendment RZ 1C 19 to rezone the property to Industrial Light (IL) in order to develop and use the lot for light industrial purposes at 8659 Island Highway (Zimmerman). [Item
 
 
M. Presley/B. Thompson: THAT the Area C Advisory Planning Commission support Zoning Bylaw Amendment RZ 1C 19 to rezone the property to Industrial Light (IL) in order to develop and use the lot for light industrial purposes at 8659 Island Highway (Zimmerman) as proposed for the following reasons:
1. Location - current access is isolated.
2. The configuration of both lots is too narrow for each lot.
3. Light industrial is typical of the surrounding zoning. Industrial Light (IL) is a more appropriate zoning.

STATUS UPDATE ON APC RECOMMENDATIONS
 
 
T. Trieu, Manager of Planning Services, provided an update regarding Electoral Area Services Committee and board decisions related to APC recommendations.
