NOTICE OF MEETING
COMOX VALLEY WATER COMMITTEE
Tuesday, July 14, 2020
Civic Room, located at 770 Harmston Avenue, Courtenay, BC commencing at 1:45 pm.

The chair of the committee will preside over the meeting according to the CVRD procedure bylaw. This meeting may include participation by members of the committee via electronic communication.

This meeting is not meant for general public input. If members of the public wish to speak at a meeting, they should contact the CVRD Legislative Services Department to request to appear as a delegation. Live webcasts and recordings are available at www.comoxvalleyrd.ca/minutes-agendas

All committee motions will be voted on using weighted votes as determined under Bylaw No. 1783.

2) COVID-19 RESPONSE AND RENEWAL – COMOX VALLEY WATER SYSTEM
 
Staff report dated July 9, 2020 regarding a COVID-19 Response and Renewal plan for the Comox Valley Water System for receipt [Item] 
 
Recommendation:
 
THAT the COVID-19 Response and Renewal action plan for the Comox Valley Water System, as included with the staff report dated July 9, 2020, be approved.
 
3) WATER RESTRICTIONS UPDATES
 
Staff report dated June 24, 2020 regarding proposed updates to the Comox Valley Water Conservation Bylaw in response to the Stage 4 water restrictions implemented in 2019 during a major repair to a transmission water main for receipt. [Item] 
 
Recommendation #1:
 
THAT Bylaw No. 120 being “Comox Valley Water Conservation Bylaw 2010” be amended to incorporate changes respecting water restrictions as outlined in the staff report dated June 24, 2020;

AND FURTHER THAT Bylaw No. 104 being “Comox Valley Regional District Municipal Ticket Information Bylaw No. 104, 2010” be amended to update the section references for the Comox Valley Water Conservation Bylaw within the fines schedule.
 
Recommendation #2:
 
THAT the Comox Valley Water Conservation Bylaw Enforcement Policy, as provided in the staff report dated June 24, 2020, be adopted.

Recommendation:
