THAT the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) provide $115,000 of funding through the Recreation Grant Service (function 600) to the Comox Valley United Soccer Club subject to a use agreement outlining secondary uses for other non-profit sports and CVRD use for programming with funds payable upon award of construction of the project;

AND FURTHER THAT the report dated August 5, 2020 be referred to the Comox Valley Sports Centre Commission for consideration.

Report dated August 6, 2020 regarding the guidelines and processes for creating criteria for the various grant and funding services offered and administered by the Comox Valley Regional District for receipt. [Item] 

THAT contributions under the Recreation Grant Program, function 600, be provided through five year funding agreements while also retaining a stream for one-time special initiative / event requests.

THAT opportunities in other services for five year operating agreements such as the Comox Valley Search and Rescue service (function #265) and the Victim Services Program / Crime Stoppers Grant Contribution service (function #200) be developed where feasible.

Report dated August 5, 2020 regarding the Fracture on 5th Functional Earthquake Exercise and concerns stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic that will lead to exercise delay for receipt. [Item] 

THAT the Comox Valley Regional District Board support postponing the Fracture on 5th Functional Earthquake Exercise until the fall of 2021;
