Cole-Hamilton: THAT the information presentated by Helen Oliphant, and Arran Arthur, Comox Valley Ringette Association, regarding their request for a review of the ice allocation policies to ensure that new user groups and user groups with increasing enrollment have access to ice be received. Hamir: THAT staff prepare a report that examines the ice time allocation process, and presents options for a more equitable process, including increasing time for user groups that are growing in participation and a long term evaluation to determine if an additional ice sheet is required to meet future user demands.

GLACIER KINGS JUNIOR B TEAM DRESSING ROOM
 
 
D. Hillian/W. Morin: THAT the report dated September 9, 2020 regarding an update/information on the Comox Valley Glacier Kings Junior B Hockey Club dressing room be received. [Item

J. Zbinden, Senior Manager of Recreation Services, presented an update on thethe Comox Valley Glacier Kings Junior B Hockey Club dressing room.
 
 
D. Hillian/K. Grant: THAT the Board support creating a new dressing room within the existing footprint of the Comox Valley Sports Centre in partnership with the Comox Valley Glacier Kings Junior B Hockey Club for their primary use during their season, subject to:
• Suitable agreement between the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) and the Comox Valley Glacier Kings Junior B Hockey Club.
• Reasonable costs incurred by the CVRD of approximately $25,000.
• Minimum contribution from the Comox Valley Glacier Kings Junior B Hockey Club of $20,000.

GRANT OPPORTUNITY TO RETROFIT COMOX VALLEY SPORTS CENTRE MEZZANINE AREA

Grant: THAT the report dated September 10, 2020 regarding a possible grant opportunity through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program – British Columbia Community, Culture and Recreation Infrastructure and to obtain support for the retrofit of the Comox Valley Sports Centre Mezzanine area be received. Susan Bullock, Manager of Recreation Programs, presented information regarding a grant opportunity towards the retrofit of the Comox Valley Sports Centre Mezzanine. [Item

Grant: THAT to support the priority of retrofitting the Comox Valley Sports Centre Mezzanine area, staff be directed to investigate the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program – BC Community, Culture and Recreation Infrastructure grant opportunity and report back to the Comox Valley Regional District Board.
