T. Trieu, Manager of Planning Services, called the meeting to order and opened the floor to nominations for the position of acting-chair for the May 18, 2021 meeting. At the close of nominations, Ally Gibson was the only nomination and as such, was declared acting-chair by acclamation. |

Chow, Planner, provided an overview of the memorandum dated May 4, 2021 regarding Development Variance Permit DV 4B 21 – 347 Butchers Road (Gottmann) to reduce the rear yard setback from 7.5 metres to 6.75 metres for the construction of a proposed sundeck onto the rear portion of the house. THAT the Area B Advisory Planning Commission support the Development Variance Permit DV 4B 21 – 347 Butchers Road (Gottmann) application as proposed in the memorandum dated May 4, 2021 for the following reasons:
1. The variance is a non-issue;
2. There is no reason to oppose the variance;
3. It is a logical addition;
4. The addition does not impinge on height;
5. The neighbour is supportive. |

1. Multi-family opportunity is a good reason;
2. The proposal will not change the neighbourhood;
3. There are no adverse impacts;
4. It is a good use of the property. |
