Wile, CVRD.     RECOGNITION OF TRADITIONAL TERRITORIES: The Chair acknowledged that the meeting was being held on the unceded traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation.     MANAGEMENT REPORT: K. Grant/M. McCollum: THAT the Comox Valley Water Committee management report dated June, 2021 be received. [Item]    Carried   REPORTS: COMOX VALLEY WATER MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE     K. Grant/M. McCollum: THAT the following items be received:     - Minutes of the Comox Valley Water Management Advisory Committee meeting held April 29, 2021; and [Item]      - Minutes of the Comox Valley Water Management Advisory Committee meeting held and May 27, 2021. [Item]    Carried   COMOX VALLEY WATER SYSTEM WATER EFFICIENCY PLAN 2021     D. Hillian/K. Grant: THAT the report dated June 11, 2021 regarding the updated Comox Valley Water System Water Efficiency Plan be received. [Item]    Carried   K. La Rose, Senior Manager of Water/Wastewater Services, provided an overview of the report regarding the updated Comox Valley Water System Water Efficiency Plan.     D. Arbour/K. Grant: THAT the updated Comox Valley Water System Water Efficiency Plan be approved; AND FURTHER THAT funding for the recommended water conservation measures be brought forward for review and approval through the 2022-2026 financial planning process for the Comox Valley Water System.   Carried   LOWER PERSEVERANCE CREEK MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING     D. Arbour/E. Grieve: THAT the report dated June 10, 2021 regarding a proposed Memorandum of Understanding between the Comox Valley Regional District, Village of Cumberland, Comox Valley Land Trust and the Cumberland Community Forest Society to support acquisition negotiations with the owner of the lands adjacent to the lower reaches of Perseverance Creek be received. [Item]    Carried   K. La Rose, Senior Manager of Water/Wastewater Services, provided an overview of the report regarding a proposed Memorandum of Understanding between the Comox Valley Regional District, Village of Cumberland, Comox Valley Land Trust and the Cumberland Community Forest Society to support acquisition negotiations with the owner of the lands adjacent to the lower reaches of Perseverance Creek.     K. Grant/M. McCollum: THAT the Comox Valley Regional District enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Village of Cumberland, Comox Valley Land Trust and the Cumberland Community Forest Society to support negotiations with the owner of the lands adjacent to the lower Perseverance Creek to determine timelines, financial conditions and opportunities, and ownership and management scenarios that will help to ensure the protection of the lands and drinking water quality in perpetuity.   Carried   W. Arbour: THAT the Comox Valley Water Committee inform the K’ómoks First Nation (KFN) Chief and Council of efforts being made by the Cumberland Community Forest Society for potential acquisition, ownership and management of lands in the lower Perseverance Creek watershed and further seek to understand KFN's interests in lower Perseverance Creek to ensure the nation's stewardship goals are respected throughout this process.   Carried   WATER METERING IN THE COMOX VALLEY WATER SYSTEM     K. Grant/D. Arbour: THAT the report dated June 10, 2021 regarding the history and current status of water metering in the Comox Valley Water System be received. [Item]    Carried   K. La Rose, Senior Manager of Water/Wastewater Services, presented information regarding the history and current status of water metering in the Comox Valley Water System. [Item]      COMOX VALLEY WATER TREATMENT PROJECT UPDATE     K. Grant/E. Grieve: THAT the report dated June 9, 2021 regarding an update of key milestones and project metrics be received. [Item]    Carried   C. Gore, Manager of Capital Projects, presented an update of key milestones and project metrics. [Item]      COMOX VALLEY WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM CONSUMPTION REPORT     K. Grant/D. Arbour: THAT the Comox Valley Water Supply System Consumption Report to April 2021 be received. [Item]    Carried   D. Hillian/D. Arbour: THAT consideration of item D.5 Comox Valley Water System Hyprescon Watermain Leak Repair Close-Out be deferred to the July 13, 2021 Comox Valley Water Committee meeting.   Carried   TERMINATION: W.
