NOTICE OF MEETING
COMOX VALLEY WATER COMMITTEE
Tuesday, September 21, 2021
Civic Room, located at 770 Harmston Avenue, Courtenay, BC commencing at 3:15 pm.

The chair of the committee will preside over the meeting according to the CVRD procedure bylaw. This meeting may include participation by members of the committee via electronic communication.

This meeting is not meant for general public input. If members of the public wish to speak at a meeting, they should contact the CVRD Legislative Services Department to request to appear as a delegation. Live webcasts and recordings are available at www.comoxvalleyrd.ca/minutes-agendas

All committee motions will be voted on using weighted votes as determined under Bylaw No. 1783.

2) COMOX LAKE TURBIDITY MODEL
 
Report dated September 15, 2021 regarding the results of the Comox Lake turbidity modelling conducted by Tetra Tech Canada Inc. for receipt. [Item] 
 
Recommendation:
 
THAT the Comox Valley Regional District continue to work closely with the Village of Cumberland to support initiatives that will decrease sedimentation in Perseverance Creek;

AND FURTHER THAT the Comox Valley Regional District continue to monitor turbidity at the former proposed deep water intake location for one year, along with newly established continuous turbidity monitoring at the new lake intake location, to better understand the extent of the difference in turbidity at these two locations.
